Risk & Resilience Data Layers
We also include several climate hazards at their native resolution, which you can use to join with different layers to yield further insights about potential hazard exposure. See Supported Hazards to learn more about these supported hazards. Note that this layer category includes additional datasets not listed here, as this list focuses on just climate hazards.
Category 1-5 Storm Surge Hazard Maps – displays the possible "worst" storm surge event for an area under a given hurricane intensity category.
Drought – includes frequency and trend of historical severe droughts.
Extreme Precipitation - 5-day Maximum – includes annually averaged maximum precipitation in a 5-day interval under historical conditions as well as future time periods under multiple emission scenarios.
Extreme Temperature - Over 100F – includes frequency of days with temperature over 100 degrees under historical conditions as well as future time periods under multiple emission scenarios.
Extreme Temperature - Over 95F – includes frequency of days with temperature over 95 degrees under historical conditions as well as future time periods under multiple emission scenarios.
Extreme Temperature - Over 110F – includes frequency of days with temperature over 110 degrees under historical conditions as well as future time periods under multiple emission scenarios.
Flood Hazard Areas (FEMA) – indicates areas with a 1% chance of flooding each year, referred to as the 100-year floodplain.
Hurricane Winds - Future – includes projected frequency of wind speeds under multiple climate models.
Hurricane Winds - Present – includes frequency of high winds under current conditions.
Wildfire Hazard Potential (2018) – depicts the relative potential for wildfire that would be difficult for suppression resources to contain.
