Public EV Chargers

Resilience Insights summarizes characteristics of the areas served by existing chargers, including:

  • Transportation network characteristics, such as the density of existing gas stations and adjacency to airports.

  • Land use characteristics, such as the density of restaurants, the density of multi-family housing, and proximity to major entertainment destinations.

  • Demographic characteristics of the residents, such as race and income.

You can use this data to:

  • Filter on block groups based on your defined suitability criteria (for example, block groups within 2 miles of a freeway).

  • Make maps of commonly used variables that are important to the EV siting problem (for example, population density).

  • Screen individual proposed sites for suitability criteria.

  • Summarize characteristics of the areas served by existing chargers.
