U.S. Census Bureau TIGER/Line Shapefiles
The TIGER/Line Shapefiles contain a standard geographic identifier (GEOID) for each entity that links to the GEOID in the data from censuses and surveys. We use the TIGER/Line Shapefiles for our source data for the total land area.
