Built Environment Foundation
Starting with UrbanFootprint’s proprietary Base Canvas, the Built Environment Foundation delivers a comprehensive national view of land use types, transit systems, population characteristics, and jobs across 160 million US parcels. This results from advanced geospatial processing and rigorous alignment and standardization of numerous public and private data sources through proprietary algorithms and statistical and machine learning models informed by deep domain expertise in urban planning. This view of the landscape enables stakeholders to see how their assets align with the built environment where their customers, employees, and partners live and move around.
Metrics from the Built Environment Foundation contribute to the insights provided by Resilience Insights. For example, you're able to access the parcel-level data provided by Base Canvas directly within Analyst. The Built Environment Foundation also provides metrics in Location Insights, such as land use, destinations, and mobility information. For the climate and hazard information included in Location Insights, and Climate & Hazard Insights, the Built Environment provides information about population, total households, total employees, total value, and land area. Refer to the layers and schemas included with Resilience Insights for a complete listing of all included data for each insight package.
